Before I had kids, I longed to have my house littered with toys. Tons of them. All over the place. Because they are adorable and cute and I wanted to play with them, too. And because it meant I was a mama. Now that I am 5 1/2 years into this parenting business, the toys have reached a level of critical mass. Its bananas. Some clever toy storage was needed.
Our bedroom really needed something in the corner between the long, low dresser and the bedside table. The only problem was, I really had no clue what to put there. It was too small for a chair or bench and it really needed to have some height. So I didn’t put anything there for months and months. Until today. I had this idea to build a quick, rustic blanket ladder with wood that I already had on hand.
It has happened. Apparently, I have caught the planking bug. I thought that planking two walls in the downstairs bathroom would be enough. I was wrong. Must.plank.all.the.walls.
We live in a tri-level home built in 1991. We I have big plans on how I want to refresh/remodel/expand our home to fit our family needs and my obsession with have style and function. It is the first home we ever bought and will likely be the only home we ever buy.
