I have not done a Friday Favorites edition in a few months and I thought it was time to do another one. This is where I talk about the cool things I have seen on the interwebs or real life that I love or can’t live without or that made me smile. Here we go with friday favorites #4.
- Ratan stools like this….
I was lucky enough to score a FREE one from my mom when I was visiting my parents recently. I mentioned I was looking for one of these and of course, she had one on hand that she wasn’t really using. I currently have the stool in the sitting area in my dining room.
2. Basket walls
First, I had one above my fire place last fall.
I took it down when I decorated for Christmas. After I painted over the chalkboard wall in my living room last month, the yarn hanging looked blah on that wall. So I decided to put up another basket wall.
I seriously love the look of a basket wall and you can do one yourself with a couple baskets from the thrift store. It would cost you about $10. I like to use some embroidery hoops with the baskets. So easy!
3. MAC lipstick
I recently took a trip to San Diego for a work conference and there was a MAC store a block from my hotel. I decided it was the perfect time to try out some MAC lipsticks.
You guys, why have I waited until the age of 37 to try these? I am telling you, if you are not a “lipstick person”, you will be after you try these. They are moisturizing, do not taste gross and wear so nicely. I am sold. Obsessed, actually.
Also, why did have I not been to San Diego before the age of 37? That place is amazing! So much to do, wonderful weather, great food and beautiful scenery! The photo below was taken from the ferry on the way to Coronado island/peninsula looking back at San Diego.
During the trip I even got to meet up with an old high school friend for dinner and sangria! I will definitely be back to San Diego sometime and can’t wait to bring the whole family!
Oh, and if you see my dear Dad around town today, please wish him a HAPPY 60TH BIRTHDAY!
